A three-way design with twin 6-inch HDT C-CAM bass drivers, a dedicated 3-inch HDT C-CAM midrange in its own steel pod enclosure, and the MPD III tweeter gives it the driver complement to keep genuine pace with Gold 300 or Gold 500 front speakers. Most centre channels use a two-way design — a tweeter and a woofer, with nothing in between. The Gold C250 6G adds a dedicated 3-inch HDT C-CAM mid-driver in its own isolated steel pod enclosure, separated completely from the bass section. Vocals, dialogue, and upper-midrange detail are handled by a driver with exactly one job. The result is a purity of human voice reproduction that two-way centre speakers can't achieve — because they're asking the woofer to be too many things at once.

Two 6-inch HDT C-CAM bass drivers give the C250 6G the output capability — 121 dB peak SPL — to keep pace with a Gold 500 6G during a full-range film soundtrack. The sealed alignment trades the deepest extension for tighter, faster bass that integrates naturally in a home cinema crossover configuration. When the LFE channel carries the low end, the C250 6G handles everything above it with authority.
