Fyne Audio F702SP Floorstanding Speaker

$23,000

Flagship F1 driver technology in a slim floorstanding cabinet built for everyday rooms.

When You Want Flagship Sound and a Slim Footprint

Reaching for the best sound in a room usually means committing serious floor space and building the layout around the speakers. You want that level of performance, but you also want a speaker with a slim footprint that sits in a normal living room and looks like it belongs there. The trick is getting both at once.

F1 Technology in the F700 Cabinet

We chose the Fyne Audio F702SP because it puts the flagship F1-8 IsoFlare driver into the more conventional, better-looking F700 cabinet. A 200mm point-source driver handles the midrange and treble, a second 200mm driver carries the bass, and the whole thing runs an F1-grade crossover on a heavy aluminium plinth.

What the Specs Won't Tell You

It Images Like the Flagship, Sits Like a Normal Speaker

The IsoFlare driver puts the tweeter at the centre of the midrange cone, so the sound leaves from one point and the speakers disappear into the music. You get the pinpoint imaging of the F1 series in a curved, contemporary cabinet that works with the rest of the room instead of fighting it.

Real Scale Without the Strain

The dedicated bass driver frees up the IsoFlare unit to focus on the midrange, where voices and instruments live. That split is why the F702SP fills a room with weight and authority while keeping the middle of the music clean, even when you turn it up.

The Upgrades You Can't See Do the Heavy Lifting

The F1-derived crossover uses ClarityCap capacitors and Neotech wiring, cryogenically treated in Fyne's own facility, feeding WBT terminals. These are the parts that separate a very good speaker from a flagship one, and they are the reason the F702SP sounds more transparent and more refined than its cabinet size suggests.

Expert Consensus

Hi-Fi+ reviewed the F702SP as Fyne's answer to delivering F1-type performance in a more conventional and broadly appealing package, and concluded that it succeeds on that goal.

The Audio Two Verdict

The F702SP is the SP model we recommend when someone wants flagship-level sound but needs the speaker to live in a living room. It brings the F1 driver and crossover into a cabinet you can actually place, and it rewards a good amplifier and source with imaging and refinement well beyond its footprint.

This is a speaker to build a serious system around. Get the room layout and the electronics right and it will keep giving back for years.
