What the Specs Won't Tell You
You Tune It to the Room, Not the Other Way Around
A tower moves a lot of energy, and the room pushes a lot of that back at you. The rear Presence Control lets you lift or drop the 2.5kHz to 5.0kHz range by 3dB, so you can soften a bright room or add air to one that sounds flat. It is how you get the same speaker to sound right in very different spaces.
Weight Underneath, Clarity on Top
The 2.5-way layout splits the work. The separate 150mm bass driver carries the low-frequency load so the IsoFlare unit is left to handle the midrange, where voices and instruments live. That division is why the F501S can hit hard on a drum track and still keep a vocal clean and out front.
The Speakers Disappear Into the Music
When the tweeter and woofer are physically apart, the sound arrives at your ears at slightly different times and the speaker never quite vanishes. The F501S nests the tweeter in the middle of the driver, so everything leaves from one point. Instruments sit in their own space and the cabinets stop drawing attention to themselves.
