Why and How?
Static is all around us and depending on weather conditions at times, it can be very bad. Iโve seen instances where a static discharge took out some expensive gear. There are a few precautions that can be taken to reduce the static in your surroundings but what we are going to focus on here is the stylus static as it happens in real time. This is what causes the annoying clicks and pops - these can only be removed using an anti static brush travelling at the same speed as the stylus. And for this we designed the Tru-Sweep Anti-static brush. It looks great and it works.
Crafted in solid (304 & 316 Surgical Stainless Steel). The perfectly balanced Uni-pivot arm allows the Camel Hair brush to gently track the grooves of the record.
With adjustable tracking force / skate force - you can control the speed of which the arm travels inward.
The soft Camel Hair brush gently sweeps across the record picking up fine dust and drains the static build up thru a connected ground wire keeping your stylus dust and static free.
How it works: Hair can conduct static electricity. The material that the Tru-Sweep is made from has continuity throughout the entire build of the unit. Once the static is encountered on the record, the electrons flow up the camel hair encounter the grounding conductor via wand portion where it travels to the uni-pivot bearing then transferred to the height extension of Tru-Sweep then to the base and discharged by the ground wire. This is connected to your Phono Pre-amp ground lug or to your receiver ground lug or amplifier ground lug
