Rotel - RA-1572MKII
More Than Volume. A Firmer Grip on the Music.
The Rotel RA-1572MKII integrated amplifier combines 120 watts per channel of Class AB power into 8 ohms with carefully engineered analog and digital circuitry. Turning a system up is easy. Keeping bass controlled, voices natural and quieter details intelligible as the mix gets busier is the more meaningful test. If the music becomes harder to follow just as it becomes more interesting, volume alone is not the answer.
The RA-1572MKII puts a substantial power supply behind its amplifier stages and pairs them with a dedicated preamplifier section and Texas Instruments DAC. Balanced XLR, moving magnet phono, digital inputs and Bluetooth make it a flexible system centre without losing sight of the reason for the connections: the music coming through them.
Power With a Purpose
The Foundation Is the Power Supply
An in-house manufactured, oversized toroidal transformer feeds four low-ESR, high-efficiency T-Network slit-foil storage capacitors. The transformer's toroidal shape helps limit stray radiation reaching adjacent audio circuits, while the capacitor bank supports the amplifier's deep, controlled bass delivery. The point is not simply weight inside the case. It is a power supply designed to serve the signal.
Care Through the Analog Stages
Custom-engineered preamplifier circuits and linear amplifier gain stages complement the 120-watt-per-channel output. Rotel's design focuses on natural detail, agility and an immersive soundstage. Bring a familiar recording with a strong bass line, a clearly placed vocal and quieter accompaniment. Those are useful things to follow when confirming what this amplifier brings to your system.
Connections That Respect Your Sources
Digital Conversion Beyond the Chip Specification
A Texas Instruments 32-bit/384kHz DAC works with critically tuned output-filter circuits. That attention to the circuitry around the converter is central to the RA-1572MKII's approach to subtle detail. Digital inputs and PC-USB with MQA support give wired digital sources a direct route into the system, while Roon Tested certification supports use with Roon software.
Balanced, Vinyl and Wireless Listening
Balanced XLR and other analog inputs sit alongside a moving magnet phono stage and aptX and AAC Bluetooth. Connect a compatible MM-equipped turntable, a balanced analog source or a wireless device without making one listening format the centre of every decision. The amplifier accommodates the collection you have, not just the source you use most often.
Practical Control, Close at Hand
A front-panel status display, source and volume controls, A/B speaker selection and a 3.5mm headphone jack keep everyday use straightforward. Speaker A/B selection supports a second listening area. Ethernet and RS232 connections provide control-system integration and software-update options.
