Give the Music Room to Move.

The Rotel RB-1552 MkII stereo power amplifier delivers 130 watts per channel of Class AB amplification, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs. A busy mix should become more involving, not harder to follow. When the bass, voice and quieter accompaniment start competing for your attention, simply turning up the volume does not solve the problem.

The RB-1552 MkII puts its engineering into the foundations of power amplification: channel-specific power-supply stages, reserve energy and carefully considered circuit layout. It is a dedicated power amplifier for use with a suitable preamplifier, built to balance strength with the smaller musical details that make a performance convincing.

Strength With Attention to Detail

Two Channels, Carefully Supported

Independent left- and right-channel power rectification stages and decoupling give each channel dedicated attention. The internal layout takes an essentially monoblock-style approach within a single stereo enclosure. This is not a pair of separate monoblocks, but a design that treats the two channels individually where the power supply is rectified and decoupled.

Reserve Energy for Dynamic Passages

High-quality, British-made slit-foil capacitors provide energy storage for demanding musical moments. Their design allows them to replenish quickly after supplying reserve energy. That matters when a recording moves from a restrained verse into a full chorus, or when a sharp rhythmic accent arrives over an already active bass line.

A Shared Platform, a Different Power Requirement

The RB-1552 MkII is built on the same platform as the RB-1582 MkII, with a lower output of 2 × 130 watts. Its purpose is not simply to chase the larger number. It offers Rotel’s robust Class AB approach in a stereo power amplifier aimed at detailed reproduction and accessible value, continuing a design tradition spanning more than 50 years.

A Straightforward Place in Your System

Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs accommodate compatible preamplifiers. Choose the connection that suits your equipment, then judge the complete system with music you know. Listen for a bass line that remains easy to follow, the character of a voice and the quieter parts that give a recording its atmosphere.
